As a queer-identified therapist,

I understand how important it is to have someone understand that part of your experience.

And at the same time, recognize that your gender and sexuality aren’t your entire experience.

Some of my clients and families come to me around issues of identity and coming out. I also see many clients for whom identity and coming out is no longer front and center, but is nevertheless an important lens affecting almost all other aspects of their life.

My Services.

Individual Therapy for Young Adults.

Individual Therapy for LGBTQ Teens & Adults.

LGBTQ Focused Couples & Family Therapy.

Maybe you feel anxious about starting therapy because…..

  •  You’ve never been to therapy before, and aren’t sure if it’s for you.  You might wonder how just talking about things can even help.

  • Perhaps you’ve been to therapy before and you feel reluctant about “starting over.”  Or maybe it hasn’t helped in the past, and you’re worried about having that experience again.

  • Maybe you are worried about how fast things will move.  What if you uncover things you don’t want to uncover?

These are totally normal feelings that all of my clients have experienced before coming to see me.  You’re not alone. We can work through these thoughts and feelings together.

My style is….

Warm, compassionate, and collaborative. We will co-create a space where you identify the changes you want to make.

My role is to help you take thoughts and feelings that are complicated and difficult to articulate, and make sense of them, by providing you with space and a framework for better understanding your experiences.

We will look at your current stressors through the lens of your past, and tie those together. This will give you deeper understanding, and allow for the possibility of making changes that will actually last.

We take what feels chaotic, scary, or shameful, and over time make it feel more approachable.

My clients say I help them feel…

  • Better in tune with their values, wants and needs, and more able to express those to the people they love.

  • Secure and connected in their relationships.

  • A greater awareness of their patterns in relationships so that they can make changes that align with their values, wants, and needs.

  • More capable of taking care of themselves when they feel intense emotions, such as sadness, loneliness, or anger.

  • Less reliance on external distractions or validation.

  • Confidence in themselves and in their ability to handle difficulties when they arise.

“Pain travels through family lines until someone is ready to heal it.”
